In the service of education, we have managed to clinch strategic tie-ups with three of the UK's top universities. The University of Leeds (in 1993), The University of Manchester (in 1998) and The University of York (2001) in managing their programmes here and in overseas student recruitment. A long-standing programme,the Leeds MBA, for example, has attracted some 240 part-time students. With Manchester, we have the Master of Science in Human Resource Management and Development.

Looking to the US, we have also in the pipeline a link with The Pennsylvania State University (ranked 12th amongst the state universities and 40th of the 3,000 universities in the US) in offering its well-developed online Bachelor of Science in Business and Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts programmes.

With reputable universities and more programmes coming under our belt, PBS is expected to benefit from the continuing trend of more Singaporeans thinking of upgrading themselves formally in education.
