THE BACCALAUREATE DEGREE PROGRAMME IN LETTERS, ARTS & SCIENCES FROM THE COLLEGE OF LIBERAL ARTS, THE PENNSYLVANIA STATE UNIVERSITY
The Baccalaureate Degree Programme in Letters, Arts, and Sciences (LAS BA) is a 123-credit (minimum) programme that focuses on organizational communication and leadership, is a multidisciplinary, theme-oriented major leading to a Bachelor of Arts degree from Penn State.

(I) PROGRAMME STRUCTURE
Students enrolled on the LAS (BA) from Pennsylvania State University offered online via its World Campus are expected to complete a minimum of 123 academic credits in order to graduate. The credits can be made up of transferred credits (non-Penn State courses) as well as earned credits from Penn State.

Students who aim to graduate with a Baccalaureate degree from Penn State, however, must obtain at least 45 academic credits of the last 60 credits from Penn State. The 45 credits are the list of 15 "core" courses, 3 credits each, which cannot be transferred from another academic institution. The remaining credits can be obtained through a combination of enrolment in the non-core courses, e.g. Elective courses or Certificate Programmes under Penn State and the credit transfer system. The credit transfer system allows students to have non- Penn State coursework completed elsewhere to be assessed by Penn State to gain academic credits that add up towards the fulfilment of 123 credits for graduation.

There is no specific sequence in the courses you may take, with the exception of those with prerequisites.
