Penn State World Campus in Singapore - Certificate Programme

The wide range of Professional Development Certificates being conferred by The Pennsylvania State University affords convenient and flexible opportunities for anyone who may wish to advance their knowledge in a relevant field, to further their education and professional development. Depending on the number of courses required to complete a Certificate and your ability to manage your time, you can expect to complete a Certificate programme in about eight months to a year, while others may require longer. Those who embark on a Certificate programme are required to complete the core courses (see details on checklist), along with electives that they select from a recommended list. Best of all, these credit courses, usually 3 credits each, can be used to complete an undergraduate degree, if they so wish to pursue one in due course. By earning academic credits through focused areas of study, any time, any where, you may well be paving your way to fulfilling a first degree. However, if you so choose not to continue after completing a Certificate, nothing is lost as you would still have the benefit of a well-recognised Certificate issued to you by The Pennsylvania State University. But if you choose to pursue a first degree at Penn State World Campus, you are encouraged to take up Certificate programme courses and any other course initially on a free- standing basis, without a formal application to be accepted as a student of Penn State. When you are more confident and ready, you may then decide to make a formal application to the University at a later time. Certain conditions may apply. Please check with PBS.
